Sarah Ann Mayneord
Sarah was born in Alderminster in 1840 and baptised in 1842 in Stratford on Avon.
She had a daughter Mary Elizabeth Mayneord born in Hampton Court, London (out of wedlock) in 1864. Her grandmother Ann (Porter) Mayneord was living in that area at the time. Sarah could have been living there and became pregnant or became pregnant at home and went to stay with her grand mother for the birth. We will never know.
In 1880 Sarah married William Simmons. William was previously married to Lydia Palmer in Bromsgrove in 1865 and they lived in Ipsley, Warwickshire. William and Lydia had 4 children:-
Alfred b.1867 William Ernest b. 1870
Jesse P. b. 1871 Albert Wright b.1876
Lydia died in 1877 and William married Sarah Ann in 1880
Sarah & William then had one son. Arthur Morley Simmons born 1882.
In 1891 they were living in Redditch. More Info
