William was born in1902. His mother Lizzie died in1905 when William was only 3 years old so he went to live with his aunt and uncle in Evesham. They were William Watkins and Mary Ann Watkins – Mary Ann was the sister of Lizzie. They raised William and he later became quite famous for his scientific work. See Note

William married Alice Joan Eaton (born 1906) on 25/11/1929 in Evesham, Worcestershire.

I have no record of any children.

William died August 1988 in Sutton, Surrey. Alice died in 1980.
