Ellen Jane Mayneord
Ellen Jane Mayneord was baptised in Alderminster in 1856.
She was born "out of wedlock" and there is no record of her father.
In the 1861 census (now 5) she was living with her mother Matilda, Grandmother Ann and aunt Charlotte in Newington, Surrey.
By the 1871 census her mother had married and had a first child. Ellen Jane was not living with her.
The only possible record I have found is that she was an inmate at Greenhill Soldiers Daughters Home.
In 1881 census she was working as a servant in the house of the Holland Family in Keston, Kent.
She finally married Thomas Ebbs in 1901 in Thanet, Kent. She is now age 44.
1901 census they were living in Birchampton, Kent. Thomas age 34.
Ellen Jane's entry clearly shows place of birth as Alderminster, Warwickshire.
1911 census they were living in Margate.
Ellen Jane died July 1924 in Thanet, Kent (age 64). I have no record of the death of Thomas.
